Panorama of the campsite in Kapolc
Magnificent views
It is difficult to write impartially about the property, Ferde Campsite - Ferde Apartment - Ferde Hütte. We have never had a guest who hasn't remembered and praised the panoramic view of the place. Add to that the fact that every season, every weather and every time of day is different, and you can enjoy a million versions of the view of the valleys formed by the Eger and Ráskó streams flowing through Kapolcs.
High above the village, but not far from it, often above the clouds that cover the village, is an area where a 300-person campsite (Ferde Kemping), an apartment (Ferde Apartman) and a multifunctional building (Ferde Hütte) where you can sleep, cook a meal, watch a film on a screen or just chill out, are located on a 7,000 square metre plot.

E-bringa system
The campsite has an electric bike system with a total of five bikes. These can be hired by anyone, no large deposit is required (none in fact), just a quick and easy registration with your smartphone. After paying the daily rental fee, you have the bike for 24 hours. You can ride it for almost 70 kilometres, which is plenty of time to explore the area, whether it's Tapolca, any small village in the Káli Basin or the Kab Mountain opposite.
Electric car charger
An electric car charger with 22 kW AC, Type 2 connection is available at the campsite, which our guests are free to use if they arrive with an electric car. The charger is public and has its own payment system. Although it is a public charger, only our own guests can use it and it can charge almost any current electric car in a few hours.

The diversity of the Káli Basin
Kapolcs is waiting for you
Kapolcs and its surroundings are a region of the Lake Balaton highlands surrounded by untapped fairytale world. Nearby are Tapolca, Veszprém, the Káli Basin, and the Balaton Highlands plateau begins on the southern side. The geologically very diverse area contains both volcanic and sedimentary parts, alternating several times within a few kilometres. The geological remains of the former Pannonian Sea are a paradise for visitors. But the non-scientific tourist and traveller will also find exciting opportunities. The area offers a wide range of high-quality gastronomic experiences, wine cellars, wineries, Lake Balaton itself and numerous historical sights, all of which provide non-repetitive programmes for a few days or even weeks.
The most important events in the region are a series of summer festivals, two of which are organised locally. The largest is the Arts Valley Festival, which runs for 10 days, but equally exciting is the Bondoro Street Theatre Festival at the beginning of the summer. Other events within easy reach include the Paloznak Jazz Picnic, or the VeszprémFest and Veszprém Street Music Festival.
